Amanda Lanzillo (fellow; history) is co-publishing a series of articles on the history of labor in India. "The Workers Who Typed: The Laboring Stories of Book Production in Modern India" is the fifth article in the series featuring stories of compositors, proofreaders, letter-press machine men, binders, and ballers emerging as an important new category in labor in the 19th century.
